16 JULI | 20:00 – 22:00 | Artist Talk: New Media artist Maksaens Denis with curator Charl Landvreugd | Studio 2 | Pay what you want
In this conversation, artist Maksaens Denis enters into dialogue with Charl Landvreugd about the core of his practice: the politics of looking. Who looks, and from what position? How can photography and video disrupt the gaze rather than confirm it? Denis shares his search for a visual language that makes space for the stories of minorities, beyond domination, beyond survival and for the solidarity that requires. An evening for those willing to question their own way of seeing.
