In the Mist will be presented in Austin, Texas, marking the work’s first screening in the United States. Over the past five years, In the Mist has traveled to nearly twenty cities around the world. This June, it finally arrives in the United States. Director Chou Tung-Yen and editor Huang Chia-Wen will attend the screening and related filmmaker events.
More than the editor of In the Mist, Chia-Wen has been a long-time creative collaborator of Very Theatre and Very Mainstream Studio. Many of the rhythms, emotions and perspectives within our works have emerged through countless conversations in the editing room. Bringing In the Mist to the U.S. together makes this journey especially meaningful.
The screening is presented by Houston Taiwan Academy as part of the Taiwan VR Activation program at the Austin Asian American Film Festival.
