The festival key visual of this year’s campaign was created by the Ghanaian photographer Awuku Darko Samuel aka @roastedkweku in collaboration with @mxmvs_design ✨

Awuku Darko Samuel, born in 1997 in Suhum, Ghana, is a conceptual photographer who began studying visual arts in high school and graduated in 2017. Initially borrowing smartphones to take photos, he soon delved into photography as a storytelling medium. Though he has explored printmaking, leatherwork, and ceramics, he favors photography for its speed in capturing his ideas.

Awuku’s work, inspired by his culture and artists such as Philippe Halsman and Alessio Albi, often re-imagines everyday objects in a high editorial style. He aims to inspire creativity with limited resources and promote African heritage by involving local youths.

Three of his framed works will be exhibited at the festival locations and available for sale in limited editions!
