“Traversing the Mist” will have its premiere at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA). The piece will be presented inside the new DocLab section, with “phenomenal friction” as its central theme.
CHOU Tung-Yen’s Trilogy of Mist departed from a VR360 short film and explored the layering of VR and theatre in its second part. Now, in “Traversing the Mist”, you take on and control the virtual body of the protagonist. Step into a sensual dreamscape, and roam the twilight zone between love and loneliness.
IDFA is the world’s largest documentary film festival and will be held for the 36th time this November. We’re honored to be part of IDFA for the first time and to represent Taiwan and the wider region as the only Asian work in the Immersive Non-Fiction Competition.
