Residency Very Theatre in Felix Meritis 11-15 September 2023
Art, connections, and exchange. Those who know me know that’s my passion.
After being in Taiwan, “Taiwan” will now come to The Netherlands.
After their participation in the Venice Film Festival, I facilitated a short residency for Very Theatre director Chou Tung-Yen and producer Sebox Hong from Monday 11 till Friday 15 September in Felix Meritis, Amsterdam. I invited professionals in the Netherlands so we could pitch and discuss collaborating, co-producing, presenting, and facilitating VR/AR/Immersive projects here in the Netherlands and Taiwan.
On September 12th and 13th, Very Theater Company presented Free Ur Head (working title) a work in progress, together with a selection of finished VR360 films and XR projects like Traversing in the Mist for art professionals and presenters working in the XR/VR/AR field in the Netherlands (on invitation only). The presentation is an extension on Very Theatre Company being selected and invited to Europe to pitch this new project “Free Ur Head” at Venice Gap Financing Market during the 80th Venice Film Festival, September 1st – 3rd, 2023.
Thank you Ayaan Abukar and Rivka van den Berg for facilitating my last-minute request!!
Spin off: CP Yen, MoCa Taipei, and Mohamed Yusuf Boss for introducing Chou and me.
