“I want to provide a platform for emerging artists who push limits, cross borders and break down barriers. Art for me is about communication, confronting people without imposing, and creating a dialogue that offers a different perspective. I am interested in the collaboration between different cultures, traditions, genders and between the various art disciplines. All art disciplines are equally important to me –theater, visual art, dance, music, spoken word and film. I work with artists who experiment with the classical art forms, who mix them up and break them down– not to destroy, but to analyze and re-use and build something new.”

Sasha lives for the arts. She has 10 years of experience as an independent producer and programmer/consultant in the arts.

She has been a producer for numerous projects in all art disciplines and she was one of the pioneers in rebuilding the cultural exchange between The Netherlands and Suriname (South America).

She also has been working with U.S. artists and organisations: scouting American talent for European festivals and venues, presenting European talent in the U.S. and initiating and producing art and cultural exchanges and collaborations.

Next to her own projects she is- together with Philip Powel- the founding director of the not for profit organisation for the arts John106
